처음처럼하라 Do Like The First Time

하나님은 신실하십니다.
주님은 자신을 말씀하시기를 처음이요 나중이시며 시작과 끝이시라고 했습니다. 처음과 끝이 같다는 의미 입니다.
시작과 끝은 한 지점에서 만납니다. 한 지점에서 만나기 위해서는 크기도 두께도 같아야 만날 수 있습니다. 사람은 누구나 일생에 큰 일 한 번 해보고 싶고 큰 사람이 되어 보고 싶어 합니다.
그래서 큰일에 대한 관심이 많습니다.
큰일 했다면 성공한 사람이라고 생각합니다. 이렇다보니 모든 일이 비교의식에 빠져 있습니다.
비교는 각성하는데 도움도 주지만 사람을 불행하게 만들고 서로를 피곤하게 만드는 경쟁을 부추기는 역할을 합니다.
강원도 춘천에서 사는 최현철이라는 집사는 어렵게 9식구가 오손도손 지냈습니다.
대학교에서 청소와 이것저것 고장 난 것들을 고치고 관리하는 힘든 일을 도맡아 했습니다.
그가 한 달에 받는 급여는 7년 동안 겨우 95만원씩이었습니다.
올망졸망 한참 커가는 아이들과 함께 살아가기는 쉽지 않았습니다. 어느 아이도 흔한 피아노 학원도 갈 형편은 안되었습니다. 그러나 9식구는 늘 아침저녁으로 모여 하나님께 가정 예배드리는 일은 하루도 빠지지 않고 23년을 드려왔습니다. 특별히 춘천외곽지역에 살고 있어 저녁에 춘천시내까지 나가는 일은 쉽지도 않았습니다. 출퇴근도
한결같이 자전거를 타고 다녔습니다.
그래서 밤에는 가족들이 모여 예배드리는 것이 전부였습니다.
아이들 학교 성적은 그저 중간이하 수준이었습니다. 그래도 부모 말들을 잘 듣고 말씀대로 살려고 하는 모습들이 기특했습니다. 드디어 최현철 집사는 32년이라는 자전거 출퇴근을 마감하는 32년 근속상을 학교로부터 받고 정년퇴임을 지난주에 했습니다.
그 동안 한 번도 월급이 적다고 불평해본 적이 없고 오히려 건강 주셔서 한 달을 일할 수 있어서 감사하고 가족들 아파서 병원 다니지 않아서 감사하고 매일 예배드릴 수 있도록 가족들을 모아 주심을 감사했습니다.
정년퇴임하는 자리에는 젊은 교수 두 사람, 의사 한 사람, 변호사 한 사람, 간호사 한 사람, 육군 장교 두 사람이 참석했습니다. 이들이 최현철 집사님의 자녀들입니다.
처음부터 끝까지 깊은 시골에서 주님과 동행하는 가족들은 세상 사람들과 비교하면 형편없는 것 같았지만 그들의 끝은 세상 누구도 줄 수 없는 기쁨이었습니다.
처음 시작처럼 마지막까지도 그렇게 되도록 의지를 발휘하는 것이 얼마나 중요한지 말해줍니다.
이것이 성실입니다. 주님께서 우리를 사랑하시는 것도 이와 같이 여상하십니다.
갑자기 어떤 큰일을 하는 것보다 더 크고 중요한 일은 처음처럼 그렇게 신실하게 사는 것입니다.
그러나 세상은 비교하고 경쟁하도록 부추기고 있다는 것을 알고 철저하게 처음 시작할 때처럼 그 자리로 돌아가는 열심을 내는 것이 중요합니다.
Do It like the First Time
Lord God is faithful. Lord Jesus said of Himself to be the beginning and the end, first and the last. He is the same from beginning to the end. Beginning and the end meets in one point, and in order to do so both the size and depth need to be same. No matter who, all individuals want to become a bigger person who accomplished a big thing. Hence, they are interested in big things, as they believe they are successful once they partake in big things. This is how many falls into comparative thought process into all things. Comparison can help awakening in some areas, but it can also make mankind miserable and tiring as it boosts competition.
In Chuncheon, Gangwon Province, a deacon name Hyun Churl Choi lived with 9 family members. He worked as a handyman in college, fixing and maintaining materials, as well as cleaning in labor tasking job. In 7 years, he only received mere 950 dollars, which was not easy for a family that had growing children. None of the children were able to go to after school programs that almost all commonly went to. Even so, the 9 members gathered together to worship Lord God in the family every morning and evening for over 23 years. Even when they had to ride bicycles to even go to the town of ChunCheon, as they lived in the rural side of the city, they gathered for evening worship every night. Children performed slightly below the average, but they tried their best to be obedient to both Word of God and parents. Last week, the deacon Hyun Churl Choi finally had honorable retirement from the school after 32 continuous years of service commuting in bicycle. The family and the deacon gave thanks for he was able to work every month and family members without being sick and able to have worship each and every day, without a complaint about his low paying job. Two young professors, one doctor, one lawyer, one nurse, and two army officers attended the retirement ceremony. They were all deacon Choi's children.
To the worldly people, the life of walking and living with Lord Jesus in the deep rural area from beginning to the end may seem like nothing, but they have the joy and happiness that no one else can give. They clearly show how important it is to use willpower and faithfulness to maintain the end from the beginning. This is the faithfulness. Lord Jesus loves us with such faithfulness.
More than suddenly taking on a big event or things, the more important and bigger thing is to be faithful. With understanding that the world encourages competition, it is important to go back to the very beginning with earnest to make the end meet the beginning.
매일매일 진실하게 하나님께 진정한 감사를 올려드리며 신령과 진정으로 예배드리는 예배자되길 기도합니다.
저와 제 가정 자녀들이 가정에서부터 기도하고 예배드리며 신실하게 주님을 바라보며 의지하게 도와주옵소서
세상을 쫓아가지 않고 주님만을 주인삼고 주님과 동행하는 2019년이 되게 도와주옵소서
살아가며 그것이 인생의 전부인것처럼
살아왔습니다...그러나 진정한 자유는
주님께 있음을 알고 깨닫게 됩니다...
오늘도 여상하신 하나님앞에 성실함으로
말씀을 붙잡고 삶속에 살아내는 은혜를
간구합니다...주님 나와 함께하여 주옵소서...
주님을 만남으로 주님의 사랑....주님의 신실함을 진정으로 깨달을 수 있기를....내가 안다고 했던 모든것들을....다 버리고 오직 주님을 만남으로 깨닫기를....간구합니다.
