예수 중심신앙과 언저리 신앙  Jesus-  Centered Faith and Brink Faith 

우리 동은 교회는   교회를 사랑하고 아끼며 많은 애착을 가진 성도들이 많습니다.
현재 살고 있는 이 시대의 신앙도 중요하지만 아름다운  신앙을 이어갈 다음세대를 위한 결단을 내렸습니다.  원래부터  교회가  교회 건물을  소유해야 한다 라는 개념은  없었습니다.
예수 그리스도의 이름으로  주의 뜻과 나라를   구하기 위해   모인 공동체의 건강을  더 중시 여겨 왔던 것입니다. 교인 수에 맞는  적당한 크기를  임대해서 사용해도 무방하다고 여겨왔던 것입니다.   그러다보니   교회가 이사를  갈 때는  성도들도 덩달아 이사를 해야 하는 경우들이 발생하고   마음의 거리들이 멀어지는 일들이 생겨나곤 했습니다. 
동은교회는  이번에  온 성도들이  마음을 같이해서 은혜가운데  아담한 교회를 세웠습니다.
교회는 약한 자, 부족한자, 가난한자.  병든 자들이 모인 곳입니다.
성전을 짓기 전에 있었던  건물은 깔새(잠깐 임대한 점포) 시장처럼  노인들을 대상으로  건강기구  시연장이나   약을 파는 곳이었습니다.  그곳에  휴지나 플라스틱 그릇을  들고  나오는  어르신들이  많습니다.
마치 노인들의 놀이터 같은 생각이 들었습니다.
그러나 언제부터인지  인기척이 없습니다.  어르신들도  오지 않으니  적막이 흐릅니다. 장사꾼들이 몇달 바짝  물건과 일명 만병통치약이라고 부르는 약을 팔아먹고 사라져 버린 것입니다.

사람들은 자신에게 아무 유익이 없다고 생각되면  아무 미련 없이 떠나 가버립니다. 그러나 교회는 다릅니다.  생각과 가치관  수준이 전혀  다른  여러 계층의 사람들이 모이지만 흩어지지 않습니다. 많은 수고와 헌신을 하면서도 떠나지 않습니다. 죽도록 충성해도 누구한 사람 알아주지 않아도   교회에서 변함없이  일하는    이유는 딱 한가지 입니다.   교회는  '예수 그리스도가 주인'이기 때문입니다. 
교회는 멋진 건물이 있고  현대화 된 시설물이나  훌륭한 프로그램 같은 것들이  있어서   사람들이  교회에  계속 있는 것도 아닙니다.  오직 예수님이 교회의 중심으로 계시기 때문입니다.
주님께  더욱 감사한 것은 우리 동은 교회는 이런  성도들이 대부분이라는 사실입니다.
이분들은  예수님을   인생의 주인으로 삼으신 분들입니다.  교회의 주인이 예수님으로 믿는 사람들은 당연히   교회의 주인이기 때문입니다.

집주인은  자기 집이 지저분하면  시도 때도 없이 청소하고 무너진 곳은 고치고  합니다.
세 들어 사는 사람은  눈치보고  하는 둥 마는 둥 합니다.   청소를 해도 자기 방만 합니다.
신앙생활도 예수님을  확실하게  삶의 주인으로  모신 사람들은   교회에서도 사회에서도  주인의식으로  살아갑니다.

진성으로 신앙생활 한다면  교회생활에  언저리가 없습니다.  언저리 신앙은  교회가 어려움이나 중요한 일을 할 때   구경꾼으로 바라봅니다.   예수 중심 신앙은    주인의 자세로  살아갑니다.

Centered Faith and Brink Faith

Many saints of Dong Eun Church loves, cherishes, and have attachment toward the church. Although faith of this generation is important, we made a decision in order for the next generation to continue on the beautiful faith. Churches were never driven to own a church building. 

Rather, church viewed the health of the community, formed with those gathered to seek after Lord Jesus' Will and Kingdom in the name of Jesus Christ, as top priority. It was considered alright to rent a place that fits according to the number of the church members. Hence, whenever the church had to move, the saints also had to move, as well as creating distance in the heart of a few. 

Dong Eun Church with heart and mind of all of church members built a cozy church. 

Church is gathering of weak, needy, poor, and sick.

The building we were in prior to the recently built holy temple, (rental in a temporary store) was a place that sold medicine equipment and medicine targeted to the older generations. Many elders came with tissues and plastic dishes. It felt as if the building was elders' playground. 

However, their presence started to be none existent. There was silence flowing through the air without the elders around. It turns out the businessman and tradesman have disappeared after selling the 'Cure-All' medicine for a couple of months. 

Humans can leave without a trace of lingering attachments, once they believe that there is nothing beneficial or profitable to them. 
However, church is different. Even when completely different mindsets, values, level and class of individuals gather, they do not scatter. Instead, they do not leave despite their countless dedication and efforts. There is only one reason why they can work in the church when no one recognizes their loyalty to death. This is because 'Owner of the church is Lord Jesus Christ'. 

People do not stay at church because buildings are beautiful, or have modernized facilities and/or excellent programs. This is because Lord Jesus is the only center of the church. 
What I am more thankful to Lord Jesus about is the fact that most of our saints in Dong Eun Church are consist of these individuals. 

These individuals have Lord Jesus as Lord of their lives. Naturally those who believe that the Lord and Owner of the church is Lord Jesus are also the owner of the church. 

Owner of the house cleans at any necessary time and fix areas that require fixing. Renters tactlessly do a mediocre job and clean only their living areas. Likewise, those who certainly have Lord Jesus as their Lord, lives with the conscious owner spirit whether they are in church or in society. 

If one sincerely walk the life of faith, there are no brink faith in the church life. Brink faith looks upon the church as a bystander when it faces difficult or important trials and events. Jesus -centered faith, lives with the owner pose and lifestyle.
